چکیده

Abstract A theory is presented to account for all the experimental observations of fluxoid quantization and phase transition in superconducting cylinders, without invoking the large, unlikely, misalignment between field and cylinder required in previous theory. Correct values are obtained for the ratio of periodic to background quadratic coefficients in the resistance vs. field plot, and for the 0” K penetration depth. The new theory predictsfor the first time actual penetration depth and superconducting area.

London relation and fluxoid quantization for monopole currents in U(1) lattice gauge theory.

We explore the analogy between quark confinement and the Meissner effect in superconductors. We measure the response of color-magnetic “supercurrents” from Dirac magnetic monopoles to the presence of a static quark-antiquark pair in fourdimensional U(1) lattice gauge theory. Our results indicate that in the confined phase these currents screen the color-electric flux due to the quarks in an ele...

Superconductivity: The Meissner Effect, Persistent Currents and the Josephson Effects

Several phenomena associated with superconductivity are observed in three experiments carried out in a liquid helium cryostat. The transition to the superconducting state of several bulk samples of Type I and II superconductors is observed in measurements of the exclusion of magnetic field (the Meisner effect) as the temperature is gradually reduced by the flow of cold gas from boiling helium. ...

بررسی اثر اندازه پودرهای اولیه در ریز ساختار و خواص بین دانه‌ای ابررساناهای2223(Bi-Pb)

We have studied the effect of precursor powder size on the microstructure and intergranular behavior of polycrystalline Bi2223 superconductors using the XRD, SEM, electrical resistivity and AC susceptibility techniques. Polycrystalline Bi2223 superconductors were prepared from the powders with different milling times. The XRD results show that by decreasing the precursor powder size the Bi2223...

Breakdown of one-parameter scaling in quantum critical scenarios for high-temperature copper-oxide superconductors.

We show that if the excitations which become gapless at a quantum critical point also carry the electrical current, then a resistivity linear in temperature, as is observed in the copper-oxide high-temperature superconductors, obtains only if the dynamical exponent z satisfies the unphysical constraint, z < 0. At fault here is the universal scaling hypothesis that, at a continuous phase transit...
